Email your MP to save MOD caretaker jobs and homes

The Ministry of Defence is consulting on plans to abolish 125 caretaker posts across the Army Reserve and University Officers' Training Corps estate.

These workers provide a vital service, helping keep military sites safe, secure and operational. For many, redundancy would also mean losing their home, with around 88% currently living in tied accommodation linked to their job.

Please take part in this e-action and ask your MP to urge the Defence Minister to reconsider these proposals, meet with PCS and affected families, and fully assess the impact on jobs, homes, safety and security.

Consultation closes on 14 August 2026, so act now. Together, we can help protect jobs, homes and vital services.
