Email your MLA about the Good Jobs Bill

The Good Jobs Bill, a long awaited step forward for workers’ rights in Northern Ireland, is being blocked from reaching the Assembly.

Despite strong public support, it remains stalled in the Executive. Further delay risks it falling before the end of the current Assembly term, denying MLAs the chance to debate it.

This is not a radical Bill. It would introduce basic protections for insecure workers, improve work and life balance and strengthen worker voice through trade unions. These rights already exist elsewhere. Workers here are being left behind.

Trade unions have spent over two years engaging in good faith to help shape a fair and workable Bill. Yet business lobby groups continue to delay progress, repeating arguments used against past reforms that ultimately benefited workers and the economy.

Rights mean little without access. For many workers, tribunals are too complex, and unions play a vital role in making those rights real.

We need MLAs to act now, please take a couple of minutes to complete the e-action.
