in the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election
The Scottish Parliament election takes place on Thursday 7 May 2026. This will be a chance to shape Scotland’s future as we seek a Scottish Government that is aligned with PCS Scotland's demands on issues such as workers’ rights, defending public services, progressive taxation and equality.
The PCS Scottish Executive Committee has launched the PCS Scotland Election Charter. Members and non-members can now contact their parliamentary candidates and ask them to endorse the Charter and commit to delivering on this if elected. The Charter includes eight demands on defending public services, championing workers’ rights and equality, having a voice in Scotland’s future and uniting against racism and fascism.

This e-action does it all for you and it takes just two minutes to e-mail your prospective candidates to ask for their support. You should get a response from the candidates, and we would appreciate it if you would share them with us by forwarding their reply to our mailbox [email protected]
Every vote matters in the forthcoming Scottish election so if you haven’t yet registered to vote, please do so by following this link Register to vote - GOV.UK
The deadline for registering to vote is 20 April 2026. Please note that for the Scottish Parliament election there is no requirement to have ID to vote.
