Email your MP about the DfE Office Closures
The Department for Education, DfE is moving ahead with plans to close 6 sites to its hardworking staff (Leeds, Newcastle, Peterborough, Watford, Croydon and Exeter) leading to job cuts when it has not shared with the trade unions anything resembling a current workforce plan, a real impact on work streams, a business case for the closures, evidence of redundancy mitigation measures with a meaningful discussion with the trade unions to find exceptions to the 60% mandated office attendance requirement and why it has shut down any conversations about full time home working.
Email your MP asking them to write to the Minister supporting PCS's call to to stop the unnecessary site closures for DfE staff, and to ensure full consultation takes place with the Trade Unions to avoid any further costs being transferred onto workers, and to avoid compulsory redundancies.
