Email the London mayor to intervene in Met Police dispute

Since 2018, PCS members working for the civilian Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) have worked under a smarter/blended working framework, enabling them to collaborate with their teams to determine the balance between working from home and in the office.

This has worked well for all staff and was launched by MPS management in 2022 as the way of working in the post-pandemic world.

MPS Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley is now seeking to enforce a minimum of 60% office-based working, ignoring the concerns of PCS members, the effect this has on the public as members consider leaving the service, and effectively ripping up agreed terms and conditions negotiated with PCS.

PCS members in MPS are fighting back and standing alongside members in the Office of National Statistics and the Land registry in the fight against draconian employers seeking to control how workers manage their work/life balance.

Please show your support for PCS members in MPS, by writing to the Mayor of London, urging him to work with the Home Secretary to find a resolution for our members.
