PCS Dispute at BEIS HQ - ISS and Aramark
PCS members working for ISS and Aramark as cleaners and catering staff at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in London are currently taking indefinite strike action in an ongoing dispute over pay. Our members are fighting for the London Living Wage (LLW) of £10.55 per hour as well as fair terms and conditions which are in line with civil servants.
The indefinite action began on July 15th and between 22nd-26th of July our members who work in security, post room and portage joined their colleagues, taking action and demanding fair pay and terms and conditions. These courageous members have fought over many months for basic rights at work, access to a decent and fair wage as well as a respectful work environment.
PCS is committed in its fight to end outsourcing, to end the scandal of low pay and poor conditions and to bring these services back in house.
We are calling on our members and the wider movement to support this dispute, support the unions calls for fair pay and fair conditions for these dedicated workers and to contact the newly appointed Secretary of State Andrea Leadsom, urging her to intervene, immediately introduce the LLW, and end this dispute!
